Snowbear Log Cabin Accommodation
"Snowbear" offers perfect accommodation for 2-8 people, from a romantic retreat for 2 to a get-together with family or friends.
Our cabin is conveniently located in a quiet forested, yet central, position in Akaslompolo- a small village situated by a lake and surrounded by forest. It is only a short walk to the well stocked supermarket, local restaurants and shops. You can cross country ski, walk, run or cycle into the forests straight from the door. The ski bus stop is just a few minutes walk away.
Traditionally built with 100 year old silver pine logs, "Snowbear" is fully equipped to make your holiday comfortable and more relaxing. With underfloor heating and triple glazing, you won't feel the cold whatever the temperature outside. After a tiring day's activities, curl up in front of the welcoming log burning stove or relax in your own private sauna.
The fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge are open plan with a log fire. The cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, DVD player, docking station. Kitchen equipment includes an electric oven and hobs, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine and drying cabinet for drying washing or damp clothing - very handy after a day's skiing.

There are 2 twin bedrooms downstairs. The mezzanine upstairs has 2 single beds and 2 mattress beds suitable for children. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge.
The large mezzanine has a comfy beanbag, and plenty of space for relaxing or playing. It makes a great bedroom and/or playden for younger children, or a peaceful retreat for older guests.
There is a toilet with washbasin on each level, a separate family shower room downstairs with adjoining private sauna.
There are child safety gates on the stairs. High chair, travel cot, potty, toddler steps and toilet seat provided. (Please bring your own bedding for the cot.)
A balcony at the back looks out over forest- watch out for reindeer, arctic hare, squirrels and birds.
There is a shared ski waxing/preparation room and log store (logs provided free of charge)
The cabin has its own car parking space (with an electric heating point for winter)
